hi Bruce ! thanks a lot for the kind comment and the yellow star ! I was there at the right moment, not long after sunrise, which is always good for colors. it's a fantastic beach, you've got to walk to reach it therefore it's often empty, at least very quiet ; by far my favorite in the neighborhood. greetings from france !
Catches many wave elements at once -- the power as the crest begins to break, the spray and crash as it does, the green we often see under the blue -- and I especially like the sand churning in the last wave returning to meet this one. Easy to see why you chose it!
yes Pennington it was a festival of colors ! there are also some pink reflects of the rising sun on the top of the wave. I'm glad you appreciate it ; this beach is a very cool and quiet place, away from car parks while most other beaches of the area have parkings just aside : never overcrowded even in summertime, and often desert in the early hours. cheers !
I guess you do Daniel, it was not a very big one. tho, it can roll you upside down easilly, don't underestimate them, especially that they carry many stones.
!*!
Oh yes, these Atlantic waves are dangerous. In 1992 I swam in the region north of Sables ( might have been not far from here) The beech was flat with small pebbles and the waves small (0,5m) I had a great problem to come out of the water, because the draft back was so intense !!! GG
Awesome Armagnac. I agree with many of the previous comments. The beaches can be relatively quiet, but there can be terrific under-tow. I remember my daughter Elizabeth playing in the sea at quite a small pebbly beach in the Vendee about 15 years ago. She was a very proficient swimmer, but it was dangerous.

Notevole sequenza di colori e poi l'onda spumosa dà il tocco finale alla composizione. Ottimo!
