Gaomei Wetlands (高美濕地), Bolboschoenus Planiculmis (F.Schmidt) T.Koyama (雲林莞草) is found distributed in China, Japan, and western river tidal area of Taiwan. And the distribution of grass sponge formed at Gaomei wetlands is spread as much as 5 hectares. The grass will be regenerated every spring, and it leaves high amount of water in mud between tidal cycle. After winter, the grass will turn yellow and be rotten, which should become the source of nutrition for most of the sub-beings.
