Somehow I'm drawn to lighthouses Suzi..Perhaps that is what the devil intended..However, the siren song from a foghorn usually brings me to my senses..A shipwreck in the making eh!!

Love the shot

Magnificent scenery dear Suzi, with beautiful detail on the cliffs, and wild sea. I don't expect the lighthouse is manned now - what a lonely existence - but what a view :))))

Hugs, Amelia

Many thanks, Urbi - this is a much photographed scene! I am happy to have seen it - and it is so close to the Sea Lion Caves and hundreds of seals and sea lions - a wild and ruggedly beautiful area of our coastline! Friendly greetings (O:

There have been a great many shipwrecks along this coast, dear Jim, a lot of them ships carrying logs and lumber. I enjoy the lighthouses too - coastal treasures! We both seem to love the sea, whichever sea it may be. Happy summer and many thanks (O:

Thank you, dear Peter - you are very generous! Our Oregon coast is much different to California's - much more desolate of population - we have trees instead - and I have yet to see a houseboat in the harbors or on our Bay. It is very rugged, our coast. Warm hugs (O:
