An A-4 "adversary" jet used to simulate enemy aircraft in air-to-air combat crashed just after takeoff from Fallon NAS. A rescue helicopter had just landed while another circled overhead. The pilot ejected safely.

As I wrote to aoriioka-san, Lucky photo for me, but probably not such a great day of flying for the pilot.
Interesting about Sir James Martin. Martin-Baker ejection systems are used on a number of US fighters, and the Mk.16 is being used on the brand new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. (Though the pilot from the photo likely used an old Douglas "Escapac" system.)
