Erqi Tower is in memory of workers dead in "2.7 railway workers strikes" in 1923.
It was built in 1951, and rebuilt in 1971.
The tower's height is 63 meters,with 14 floors. 14-floors means 2*7.
"Erqi" is date 2.7, which is read in chinese,so we Zhengzhounese call Erqi Tower,short for its full name-"Erqi Memorial Tower".
