Öskü, Kerektemplom / Öskü, Round Temple

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

A XII. században épült román stílusban, egy római őrtorony alapjaira. A sekrestye kivételével, ami a XV. században készült, eredeti állapotában áll. A szentélye félköríves, kis, lőrésszerű ablakokkal. Az épület teteje félgömb formájú zsindellyel fedett. Magyarországon az egyetlen ilyen jellegű templomépület.

It was built in the 12th century in Romanesque style upon a roman watchtower's ruins. Except the vestry which was built in the 15th century it stands in original condition. The presbytery has semicircular shape with small porthole-like windows. The top of the building is covered with hemisphere form shingle. In Hungary this is the only church of its kind.

This a Catholic church.

Like this picture a lot , and just read your reply above, 12th century unbelievable , it looks to be in a very good condition still, you captured it very good, and like the lines to go down to the right at the little other tower, best wishes K@rin

Elemér, nagyon jó ez a kompozíciód! Tetszik a két templom (a kicsi és a góliát) ilyetén való ábrázolása. Talán az előtérből, én többet mutattam volna. Lájkoltam egyet. Szia, Péter.
