Thanks Karense and Hilaris - this was quite late in the evening (21:30) and the lights from indoors were complementing the sunset behind the buildings - I also liked the positioning of the person in the doorway.

Hi Jutescrim - yes the handrail is still there. My grandmother lived in St Mawes and we used to spend a lot of time there when we came back on leave from Afica - I went to the School up the hill (where the children were sure that I must be a monkey if I lived in Africa). You should go back and visit - check out Our Cottage!
