Don't mistake this bridge for the famous Golden Gate. This bridge lacks the artistic design of the Golden Gate but has a beauty of its own and its suspension cables are lit by a series of white lights. The red glow from the bridge comes from the tail lights of streaking cars on a long exposure. This image was taken from Treasure Island just above the bridge but there is NO viewing area. Cars zoom by just behind you so care must be taken when filming at night. In the background, the beautiful skyline of San Francisco can be seen against a storm coming in off the Pacific.
