Lovely capture Voted ...Haggs...

Steven Stoddart on August 26, 2010

Greetings Haggs - The ruins Rievaulx Abbey are just below the terraces where this (and one other) magnificent folly can be found. If you are in this neck of the woods, it is well worth a visit...

Thanks for the vote...

I love the light airy feel to this and the colours are perfect.

Good one !

Hiya Sam - I am glad you liked this one... it is in your neck of the woods, isn't?

I have been here a few times and enjoyed every visit. They abbey ruin below the terraces are equally enjoyable...

Glad to have you stop by again : )

Rievaulx is one hell of a beautiful place. Steeped in history, well kept... What more could one ask for. Lovely image. Nice gallery too.

Steven Stoddart on February 14, 2011

Hello Ðḁrĸ Ṩigh - Welcome to my gallery!

We have been here a couple of times but on this visit, Autumn was with us and these wonderful structures seemed all the more magnificent in amongst the Autumn colours...

Knowing that you have seen this place makes your appreciation all the more welcome!

Si Mulgrave on February 14, 2011

Just Si will do. Did you go into the building at the other end? I really enjoyed it. Though, it is the Abbey that wins the day for me.

Steven Stoddart on February 14, 2011

Hiya Si - Ah! Yes!! The Abbey down below was not open on the day we were there so we had to give it a miss....

Somewhere, though, I have photo's of our first visit but these are all medium format.. I see a day of scanning on the horizon...

Si Mulgrave on February 14, 2011

Alternatively, and by far more fun... A re-visit!

Steven Stoddart on February 15, 2011

Hiya Si - Excellent idea... : )
