This is a very interesting case for me. Viewed at full size it shows the clarity and depth that is typical for many HDR pictures. Just like in your example here, I have many such pictures which show the beauty of the high dynamic range but where I find it very difficult to add some brightness/vibrance in particular for the appearance at smaller size.

Did you try to get a handle on this?

I know what you mean Michael. Smaller views tend to smooth out and lose the impact that the larger pictures give. The trouble is that if you increase the microcontrast, strength or reduce the smoothing you can end up with too much effect on the full size pictures. Depends what you want I suppose.
