Yes, a certain amount of restoration has gone into these buildings on Main Street. But the town is under-populated and many stores are empty. A century ago two men and threir families could only farm 100 acres. Nowadays, two men and their families can farm 10,000 acres using big tractors. Most kids born in farming families end up moving away now, along with the shopkeepers in the towns.
