Nice tag idea Kenny (Grim Places) but a dark sky and maybe some drizzle would have worked better with this one. I think with that uncharacteristic blue sky it looks rather a nice place.

Picnic anyone?

All the best ol' buddy from North Carolina!

uncharacteristic blue sky You got that right!

Unforgettable image Kenny This was the ICI Nitro Fertilizer (CCF) plant many years ago..I have no idea if it still has a function!!

I think they are saving this iconic structure as a backdrop for the very last End of the World/Doomsday/Apocalypse Now movie ;>)

Almighty goodness!!..why is it still standing Kenny???? Perhaps some clown has granted it grade one listed building status...

Having said all that..it's a damn good photo and very relevant..I would not mind being atop there, the views across Tees-side must be stunning..

There is much potential for some great night shots at this R-a-bout Kenny..a ten second exposure at f2. ISO 800. with a 50mm wide angle could be interesting..especially if there is snow on the ground..

Cheers

Jim

Thanks everyone for your comments. British and AXOTA see the Sci-Fi probably because they have seen more of this area. I tried to capture the strange domes silo behind but was not happy with the shot.
