Pa wanted these too but there was a nice policeman in his car a half bock away.
Lol! Looks like Helen is a antique gas pump lovers mecca.
OUTSTANDING! What a magnificent pair! I'm so sorry that you couldn't figure a way to get them into your vehicle without the nice cop noticing. Regardless, you captured a splendid shot of them. I suppose it's the next best thing, right? I love that they're twins except for the color of their trunks. Very cool indeed.
Greetings from the sticky South,
You remember well my urge to kidnap some of these pumps. I'm amazed that some collector has not seen these and done just that in the wee hours of the morning. We always think of you when it comes to things like that. Glad you liked them. I'm sorry you did not live in the days of Route 66 and the old Lincoln Highway. You would have been in paradise. There's still a lot out there.

Haha! For some reason this reminds me of an old man and his wife! Quite adorable when you think of it. This is a very nice picture you have added to your collections of old things, I've enjoyed this picture very much, but I think it would have been awesome if you two could have snuck these back home, what great decorations they would make! ;) Like 2!
Best wishes from the peachy state,
Thank you Kyle. I never saw it that way but since you mentioned it, it does look like an old man and his wife....kinda like Ma and me. If you turn 90 degrees from this pump, high on a hill across the highway, you will see a windmill. It is in this same collection. It is the same windmill you made a picture of but there is little resembalance between the two. Notice how it is grown up now and it was blocked off when we were there making it impossible to gain entrance.
Wow! I just realized it! I can't believe I overlooked the fact that your new shots were in Helen. That is very cool! Now I recognize everything, and yes, the windmill that I too have a picture of, except yours is exceptionally better than mine.
