Hello Gudurn thanks a lot for flash news!

Good new is that there are no victims...

No mention about this quite serious earthquake on Czech news servers so far. But Czech advert was build into NZ news page. :o) I still have to learn a lot.

Cheers, Tom

Luckily no fatal injuries but a lot of damage. I find the looting shocking - I thought NZ was a civilized country!

The link was from Google News, select country NZ- there you are! Having czech adverts is because Big Brother Google knows where you are- I had german adverts;-) Cheers, Gudrun

Tomas K☼h☼ut on September 4, 2010

Hi Gudrun I would not expect a looting there too - yes, shocking. Quesition is how many roberies are there and who made them.

Hm... modern life introduce more then Google Big brother. Seems to me, this one was other then Google. Just for my couriosity - did you have adverts about Sony Ericsson? Code of NZ news web was too difficult for me to understand from which source came this advert and how was controled.

♠ c0l0gne1 ♣ on September 4, 2010

Now I don't see any adverts at all save the ones the paper itself has on it's pages (NZH Shopping)- no Sony Ericsson. Do you use adblock plus?

Tomas K☼h☼ut on September 4, 2010

Well, I still have czech Sony Erisson advert on http://www.nzherald.co.nz/ pages. Sometimes even two same (one strip and one square). Need to say, I am on Internet Explorer (I think - AdBlock is plugin for FireFox?), and I have no advert filtering on in my free firewall. But enough about technical "wonders", important is that no one was killed. From this point of view, our local "flash floods" this summer were worser.

I'm using Firefox and Adblock Add-on (there's another Add-on "Exif-Viewer" which is quite handy...). I do remember from IE that the ads were annoying;-)

Yes, for all the damage they were extremely lucky that it was early in the morning. I've seen a photo of bent railway tracks that'd be a sure NPC-curves-winner;-)

The flash floods in Europe we can expect much more often, I'm afraid. The climate here is definitely changing for the worse.
