They do, don't they Jean! I think that was one of the things I liked about it. Thanks for the like!

Joy, such a nice shot here. Those pretty black cows against that green pasture, and the pretty back ground with the silo and blue sky also. A great catch Joy! Like # 2

Old red brick and new green pasture goes well with the black beasts and blue silos, I'm not going to mention the washing on the line though!

Nice snapshot of country life Joy

Angus cattle with the modern plastic silos. This is a farm that is either making money or has money to send. I like it. (I like any farm that has money to spend.)

Cool contrast. I still like old silos better, but new ones have nice colors.

Are those man-eating cows? :O

Cheers from GA

Thanks Lotfi (^_^)! I enjoyed my tour of your gallery!

Hi Mike! As always, good to have you round. I am glad you approve of my/their color scheme and that you didn't mention the wash on the line:) Yes, this is a beautiful farm and maybe one day I will show another view.

Greetings Domingo! I was just thinking of you and have you on my list to visit soon. I had a peak this morning and see I am pages behind:( thanks for stopping by & see you soon!

Hi JB! It is nice to make your acquaintance. Your name is not one I am likely to forget as it was my father's name and he was a dairyman. I think you are totally right about this farm - although I am not sure which. It always looks pretty shipshape and is decorated beautifully at Christmas. I think not too many years past it hosted Jesse Jackson for some kind of function.

Thanks Liam! I know what you mean about silos. But blue Harvestore silos are beginning to be a think of the past around our area. They are being replaced by the big squat silver silos like you see above with the Harvestores. The cows did not show any man eating tendencies while I was around...but maybe it was because I was the wrong gender:)

What a beautiful Wisconsin scene! Cheers, pear

joyfotos on August 7, 2010

Yes Pear it is stereotypical Wisconsin scene except maybe the cows should be B &W...but our farming scene is fast fading here. We are too close to the Twin Cities.
