A souvenir for davidcmc58

This was my first look at the rocky diversity of the north-England coast line. This place was absolutely beautiful and the weather could not have been better! There is a nice footpath that leads down to the rocks below. We hit the scene at just the right time between low and high water; we were able to scamper about on the rocks far out from the edge of shore - amazing!

We don't have a coast line like this in North Carolina and frankly, you really have to make an effort to find anything like this on the eastern shore of the United States. This is definitely one for memory sakes!

Kevin, it's very thoughtful of you and Hope to give Pano friends these virtual travel post cards as souvenirs. It sure sounds like you both had a wonderful time in Europe. There are miles of rocky shores in NorCal and my family (me, wife and 3 kids) have done our shares of rocky shore and tide pool exploration during kids' pre high school years. I know exactly how you and hope felt! Great shot and great sharing. Welcome back, David

Thank you, David. I'm still marveling at the notion I traveled across the Atlantic to see something like this for the first time. For several years I had been adamant I didn't want to tour another country until I had seen many more wonders the United States had to offer. I'm glad I changed my mind on that ... we can't wait to go back!

It sure is pretty when the sun shines in the uk. Is Hope your partner? I hope you treated her to some retail therapy after taking all these photos :) People get fed up with me after about an hour!

Best wishes to you both, snuggles ♥

T's SB, It certainly is beautiful! Yep, Hope's my girl! (funny on the retail therapy!) We did a lot of browsing in a lot of different shops - I think she only came away with a single ring for herself throughout the entire trip! Can you believe it?!

Kirsty dowding on July 30, 2010

A Ring?! thats all. Was it a special ring? I mean like engagement, friendship, commitment or just really pretty?

Best wishes to you both ♥

Kevin Childress on July 30, 2010

Yep - that's it!! ... just a really pretty ring she picked out for herself - she already has all the others!!! hahahaha!!

Shots like this are raison d'etre of Panoramio (no, I'm not being nice... rarely am) Cheers, S.K.

Kevin Childress on August 6, 2010

Hello, SK, Good to hear from you! My French is pretty bad but I took that as a compliment (as if this photo justifies the existence of Panoramio). Who are you not being nice to?

I hope all is well,

Now that I'm completely awake :), I think it's something like "this shot is what Panoramio is about".
