Nice photo of Mount Hoquiam! I was first at Lake Connie in summer of 1958 - ten years old, with my grandfather! At that time, we came in from the Wynoochee, and actually hiked up the valley trail until Chikamin Creek, then hiked up the ridgeline of Chikamin and into the Litchy Creek drainage. It was a fairly strenuous hike then, but now of course it's much closer (although I understand that FS25 is washed out just beyond Wynoochee Falls now). Anyway....NICE shot Larry.

Thanks Larry. It is still a bit of work to find the route and get there. The area around Mount Hoquiam epitomizes the southern Olympics for me. Larry

Thanks Phil. It is a bit of a cross-country trip to get there. All the best to you in this new year, Larry.
