Thanks! This (and Badwater) are probably the most photographed spots in Death Valley. The best time to see it is right at sunrise, as by mid-day it goes flat. Even then, it is a spectacular place to visit. Larry

Some of the best times to visit are between December and April. It is very hot in the valley during the summer, but many foreign visitors go there then to experience the heat. Go HERE to get information to help plan a trip.
I enjoy visiting there as it is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Olympic rain forest that I am so familiar with.
