At the end of July, on an uncommonly hot day, this Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly (Papilio troilus) briefly visited a Tiger Lily (Lilium tigrinum). The swallowtails are unique in that even while feeding, they continue to flutter their wings.

This was the third shot of three shots. It left soon after I arrived. I couldn't wait for its return as it was stinking hot out! I was about to wilt and had to leave.
