my word. this looks like a tunnel with the storm inside.you are so blessed to live in such an environment as this!

Beautiful, Ralph!

Wow! What's most intriguing is how the Cathedral Group is right there in the center of the tunnel-like clear area. It seems like the reflection of a giant's eye, with the Grand Teton reflected in the pupil!

Woooow!!! Sublime storm view, deserving, of course, a yellow star, and my support for the panoramio elections!

Cheers from Switzerland :-)

'better than average' photos? you are truely modest; many of these are the best of Panoramio, best of Google Earth, best anywhere. Good job. it will take me weeks to look at all of em. You seem to 'own' the Washakie Wilderness. I've spent many a summer in the Rockies but never found it. (let's hope NO ONE finds it!)

Ralph Maughan on August 13, 2010

Kambing300,

Thank you!

Actually I did co-author a backpacking guide to the Washakie Wilderness. Perhaps fortunately, it did not sell very well . . . probably because it is mostly the domain of the horse packer. It is too huge, with too many grizzly bears and difficult stream crossings for large numbers of walkers.
