There is a place above the Tahoe Meadows where wild Mountain Chickadees have grown used to being hand fed by hikers. The US Forest Service discourages this practice as being an unnatural human intrusion on wildlife. This photo was a contest winner in Nevada Magazine's Great Nevada Picture Hunt 2007 .
