Wow! Terrific shots, Ryan!
I guess I've seen it once. We went through (or immediately around) St. Louis each time we crossed from NE Illinois to SW Missouri to see my grandmother, but of course that was all pre-arch. Mostly what I remember is how hot and sticky it always seemed to be in those days before cars had air conditioning or even effective fans. The deep blue of your sky helps me forget that misery.

Thanks, Marilyn!
I'm glad if this picture helps you forget the heat...it does not do that for me! It's been upper 90s here for three weeks, and over 100 for half of that time. This day was no exception (and my car has no air conditioning either). I could hardly see anything in the LCD display because it was so bright, and I couldn't keep my sunglasses clear of sweat. I had to walk down into the museum a couple times to escape the heat and refill my water (and go through the metal detector each time). I probably took over 50 shots here, at least four exposures from each angle to be sure I got back something good once I could see again! It was miserable, but I knew I'd probably never be so lucky with the clouds again, so I tried to fill my Arch quota for a lifetime.
After all that, I'm very happy with my results, and I'm very glad you and others are as well. Cheers!

That sounds every bit as excruciating as our trips, trapped in slow traffic, each of us wiping with a damp washcloth to try to keep from being overcome by the heat! But your results were great.

Great shot; especially with this dead straight reflection in the curved arch. A geometrical masterpiece.

Thanks polytropos. The metal surface reflects much of the clouds and sky in straight lines, but is usually too subtle to see. This one really jumps out.
