Hi again MaryAlice !!!
I'm speechless. Your photos are so beautiful. YS and LIKE
Greetings, **Arto, and thank you SO much for stopping by tonight. I'm so proud that you enjoyed this old homestead. Thank you for the yellow star and "like" vote! Your kind words are so graciously appreciated. :)
Wishing you a lovely evening,
Really lovely! Like!
Good afternoon, Bryan, and thank you so much for enjoying this quiet little cabin. I thought it was really adorable, and I met the sweetest couple there that own it. They told me a few stories and gave me permission to snap away! I was smitten and stayed for quite a while, just admiring the place! What a charmer. Thank you again for your kind words and the "like" vote! I'm so happy to share this with you. :)
Warmest regards from Georgia,
Oh wow! This one's on stones also! It's a pleasant little home though. Ya think any one lives in there? ;)
Like for this one also!
Thank you, Edward! Your praise and the "like" vote are greatly appreciated! I'm glad you stopped by today. :)
Yep, Liam, this one is also on stones! That was my favorite part! :) Don't you just love that about these old places? No, no one lives here anymore. I met the owners, and they actually live in a home just a little bit further back in the woods from this. The little cabin belongs to them though, and they've kept it up really well. Thank you for enjoying this, and also for the "like" vote! As usual, it's a joy hearing from you. :)
Hello again, Si, and thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I think it is neat that this is exactly what you imagined it to be like over here. One can still run across darling little homes like these scattered about here and there. I just love them! Indeed, I thought it was loaded with character as well, but I didn't get to go inside. I suppose I probably could have, but I didn't want to overextend my welcome. The couple was kind enough to let me stop and take all the photos that I wanted. Maybe I'll go back one day and see about going inside. No doubt, I really wanted to! :) Thank you again for enjoying this so much. It makes me happy.

Yes, Nik, a few new shots. I thought it was about time. :) It's good to hear from you, and I hope your Summer is going well.
My dear Peter, Ahhh, thank you so much for your fine appreciation of this darling little cabin. You always say the nicest things. Thank you for the "like" vote and yellow star! I am honored and smiling so large. I'm so happy that you liked it. All the best to you, my far away friend! :)

Best regards from the USA,
Hello MaryAlice I have noy spoke to you for a wile so I thought it was time I did. This looks like one of the early settles cabins the type you often see in weatern movies great shot and a nice place. Is it still in use?.Its a like for it.Best wishes Alan
Greetings, Alan! It's so good to her from you, and thank you for stopping by. Yes, It's been a while, but we all get caught up in so much, that sometimes it's hard to visit all the people we know on here. I'm glad that you enjoyed this old cabin. It's quite a gem, and yes, it does look very much like the old ones you'd see in the westerns. It's not still in use, but it's watched over by it's owners and kept in good shape. Thank you again for enjoying it and for the "like" vote too. Wishing you a very good weekend from Georgia,
Very nice Mary Alice. Very atmospheric. How are you keeping? Has the temperature come down a little in the USA yet? Not so bad here, a bit fresher. Autumn (and all the lovely colours) are on their way! Kind regards
Greetings, Martin, and thank you so much for stopping by this simple little cabin. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. No, the weather is still trying to kill us all off over here. It's terrible, but we're trying desperately to get by until Fall rolls around.... hopefully by the end of next month, maybe! I'm glad to hear that things are looking hopeful over your way. Consider yourself very lucky! Very lucky indeed! I'll be on the lookout for some pretty-fall-leaves from you soon then? :) Take care!
All the best from Georgia,
This photo is a prize, if this house was in Southern California it would probably last a couple of years before an earthquake would get it. I think you seam to live near a photo wonderland, I'm jealous. Great photo. LIKE 10 FOLD Hal
Oh, Don't be jealous, Hal. Believe me, these things aren't just sitting all over the place around here. I have to search far and wide to find them. It's part of what I love though....exploring and constantly searching for new and exciting "old" places to photograph. Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I'm so pleased with your enthusiasm! :)
Very best wishes from Georgia,
Mary, your collection of buildings of the past are amazing, anyone would gladly have any of your photos hung up on their walls. like(11)
I am sorry to hear that these wonderful places are fast fading away. I suppose it makes sense as the same things are happening with the old buildings here. But these were common in my childhood and it seems they should still be there:( What a wonderful sense of timelessness you gave this wonderful old home! *Like & Y!!
It seems the house is the cottage in the countryside. I still remember I saw it on cowboy films when I was young and it has made me return to my childhood. Thanks for sharing. Greetings, nguyentran
