It must be a lovely place where they welcome you with a cheerful signpost like this. :) I zoomed in your photo and tried to read the text, but I don't understand what 'Laarzenpad' means. Can you translate it to me? cheers, archrodney!

Hello archrodney! Nice to 'see' you again ;-) I hope you are well! Haven't been so much on Panoramio last time...

This small series was made on Kaag Island, a small island in 'De Kagerplassen', a lake nearby, and a really idyllic spot to wander around for a day or so. I'll try to translate the text for you. This sign is posted at the beginning of a walk through the wetlands. If we would translate the title 'Laarzenpad' literally it would be, in English, something like 'Boots path'. It suggests you better take your boots on if you're going to walk there, because it can be watery and muddy. Furthermore it states 'Boots path starts here. Enjoy nature but respect rest and silence. In the meadows, no dogs are allowed, and no entrance during breeding season from march 15 to july 15.'

Have a nice day! Erik
