Via del Borgo or Donkey street
It's a causeway with features arched windows.
Probably built in sec. XIV, as a defensive bulwark to protect the village, it was based on a large base of rock and, at first, was not covered and served as a rampart walk.
Later, when it lost its function of defense, it was covered and incorporated in houses; the rocky base was excavated to obtain stables, warehouses and shops, turning the porch in a causeway.
This neighborhood was predominantly inhabited by carters, carrying chalk from the quarries above the village, using donkeys, hence the name: "Donkey street".
