Thank you, Anne, Sigmund, and Ainars. We have had some wonderful trips since my husband retired, and my main souvenirs are my photos. I turn 71 later this week, and we believe in using our opportunities when we have them, not knowing what the future will bring.

Cheers. Marilyn

Thanks, Pascal and Rich, for your comments and good wishes. The one negative thing about my trip is that I will miss seeing the photos of my Panoramio friends and exchanging comments. I will go on-line as often as I can, but that time will be scarce (and probably expensive)!

Pascal, the GranPa collection is extraordinary! Thank you for the link.

Thanks, Bruce, for your well-wishes. The trip is a long one: three days on Fiji, then Australia (where my husband is attending a meeting), then New Zealand--six weeks including travel time. I'm looking forward to taking photographs, but the thought of dealing with that many boggles my mind!

To Marilyn: sounds for great summer extension for You!

I wish You Happy Birthday celebration too! And do You know what is funy there?

I have my birthday too and right today, but I will celebrate my at weekend - at Saturday I think!

What more surprised me? You said You are born IL? I remember, my ount lived in Chicago till 1978 or 1979?

Sure, Chicago are big town and how for example I never meet or ever seen in face some of my upstairs neibhours in my house. :(

But still there are some small chances than peoples who never meet before or never know each other somehow cross lifes in some miracle and wonderfull way.

Happy anywersary to You again and we waiting You back with many wonderfull photos from 'Downunder' (have I said this correct?)

Greetings - ainars

Happy Birthday to you, Ainars, and have a good celebration on the weekend. Mine is tomorrow.

My father was born and grew up in Chicago, and we went there often to visit relatives, to shop, and to see things. I grew up about 120 km away.
