Dude bridges nowadays cost around 10~20 BILLION dollars, this bridge is cheap... and you can also see it from its structure: it is not even straight! It is not the most expensive but it is surely the crappiest bridge in the world

WRONG!! The myth about this bridge being one of the most expensive in the world is nonsense, created by sensation-seeking Latvian media. The bridge itself is just one part of the project with creates a brand new, several kilometres long traffic way through Riga. The total costs of the WHOLE project are around 1 billion euro - in these costs are counted in also the costs for the bank loan, and projected increase of the original construction costs due to inflation. The first stage of the project (bridge and dense network of connecting roads and estacades) costed about 380 mln euro (again - calculated WITH the still to pay loan percentages), while the 800 metres long bridge itself costed around 1700 euro per square meter, making it ONE OF THE CHEAPEST bridges in Europe.
