Interesting - are there multiple graves beneath the stones? The look quite large for just one

There were plenty of graves although I assumed just one corps each. In other necropolis the tombs were used later on to bury new bodies, I don't know if here was the same case. Thanks for the interest Niels :-) nik

Fascinating nik. Medieval? What a lot of effort to go to bury someone! I know that in modern Spain you have vertical cemeteries, like big filing cabinets! I've never known why - Jim

The construction of the cemeteries is very interesting Jim. Somehow the cemeteries represent the cities or towns.The vertical cemeteries have something to do with the imitation on the medieval ones built inside the urban towns with no much space. I am glad you like it. :-) nik
