Interesting - are there multiple graves beneath the stones? The look quite large for just one
Very nice shot
Best regards Qianlong
There were plenty of graves although I assumed just one corps each. In other necropolis the tombs were used later on to bury new bodies, I don't know if here was the same case. Thanks for the interest Niels :-) nik
Dear 乾龍, thanks for your like 2 :-) nik
Fascinating nik. Medieval? What a lot of effort to go to bury someone! I know that in modern Spain you have vertical cemeteries, like big filing cabinets! I've never known why - Jim
The construction of the cemeteries is very interesting Jim. Somehow the cemeteries represent the cities or towns. The vertical cemeteries have something to do with the imitation on the medieval ones built inside the urban towns with no much space. I am glad you like it. :-) nik
Fascinating shots, nik! Thanks for sharing and educating me. Marilyn
Thanks for your nice visit Marilyn. I am glad you have enjoyed those last uploads. Best regards. nik
