We know what they're doing!

Nice eye (as always) Keith

Mmmmm, I used to think these wee gulls were trying to jump start their paddles, when my dear Nana took me shopping in Dumfries, but she reckoned they were mebbe waiting for a wee fishy!

Well seen and presented Keith, up to your usual standard!

Great shot, Keith! Unusual subject from a nice angle, diagonal lead in and extreme contrast of textures. Are they waiting for fish? Theolfa

Waiting for fish? Maybe, but I like to think they do it because it feels good to have the water running over their feet.

Tanks Jethro, Mike and Theolfa.

Thanks Billy. Mending is progressing slowly.

We have a heron that fishes on one of these...but alas he only flies in right at dark and it is tooo dark for photos. What a fun shot and love the title! Glad to hear you are mending but sorry to hear it is going slow.

Thanks JF. We watched these for quite a while and they didn't seem to be interested in fishing, just chilling in the water.

Nice shot, Keith. Just browsing through Dumfries as we look for somewhere to stop next year and stumbled across this nice photo of yours...

Thanks whoelius. Dumfries is nice and so is Moffat a little further North.

I see one or two have braved the water. Well, it's a start! Lovely photo! Y*. There's something about your gallery I find very refreshing. (Incidentally, I see from your intro. you are a "biker". I take my hat off to you; you must be very fit. Best way of getting around - but all that pedalling, laden with camera gear! Have you ever thought of switching to a motorcycle!).

Best wishes, Brian.

Hi Brian and thanks for the kind words. I am a biker and definitly NOT a cyclist - I tried a pushbike once and found the "engine" lacking. ;)

Regards, Keith
