Amazing, I never knew it used to look like that. Retro photos like this are really great for showing us these historical details.

Hey Daniele - which power station is this one? You have it marked on the map as Battersea but it certainly isn't that one. It is a similar design to the Bank Power Station now converted to be the Tate Modern Gallery. But that is parralel to the river and this one is at right angles. Was this one in Fulham?

I think it certainly is Battersea - recognize the railway down on the left; and the tall building beyond must be Big Ben. Anyway, it is an interesting photo - do you know how is it old?

hi olga ,Battersea Power Station was designed in 1930 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and J. Theo Halliday. The first two chimneys (Battersea A) were completed in 1939. By 1955 the third and fourth chimneys (Battersea B) were completed making the Power Station the largest brick building in Europet. I made a picture documentary about the power station because as a commuter I usually pass throught battersea 4 times a day. I'm not in London since june , any movement around the lot?? You can find more info and picture on this website www.batterseapowerstation.org.uk or on wikipedia website. thanks for the interest Daniele IT
