Congratulate on this photo! Fantastic scene in a beautiful landscape!
Greetings of Vienna, Manfred
Yes it was quite a sight to watch this Falcon fish for breakfast. He was so fast. I have a series of shots of him diving into the water splashing about then taking off and flying away.
Thanks for Looking!
spectacular photography Michael
Thank you very much for your kind words!
I've been to Sparks Lake many times and I've seen many deer
but I was suprised to see falcons fishing. I guess I should'nt be suprised. Not too far away is Cultus Lake where a small colony Ospery live and feed.
This bird, commonly called a fish eagle, is not a falcon, but obviously an osprey. The largest falcon, the gyrfalcon with average wingspan of 47 inches is no match for the larger osprey wing averaging well over 60 inches. The osprey in turn would be no match in speed compared to falcons.
Dam nice shot, reflection and all.
Thanks for the compliment!
