Bloor Street, 'Walking by', Julian Opie, Artist - 2006

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

WALKING BY! This moving digital billboard by Englishman Julian Opie was commissioned & installed by Rogers Cable in 2006.

It is actually called 'People Walking', but I think my title is better. The flat screen measures 10 ft by 6 ft and features life-sized electronic humans walking randomly in both directions 24 hrs a day. Rogers is one of the largest cable and telecommunication company in Canada.

Another (2013) image, by a famous Toronto photographer ;-) can be seen here!
