Northwestern Glacier and the other glaciers toward the end of Northwestern Fjord were quite active. Not only did this tidewater glacier calve ice off into the ocean, but the alpine glacier in the upper left also calved, sending ice tumbling down the cliffs. this portion of Kenai Fjords National Park is worth the 9-hour trip!
