Nice capture of the Chrysler building! I have a similar picture (not on panoramio) but you have by far the better lighting!

Thanks jhk! This was taken at about 6:00-6:30 pm. At first I was hoping for clearer skies, but this building looks good even with the haze.

Well there's nothing you can do about the haze... if anything it actually fades the background here a bit.

Did you also go up at night? I went up twice (once in the day and once at night) and I found it really magical at night. See for instance my Flatiron building shot

Thank you ManhattanManiac. This photo of the Chrysler Building was taken from the Empire State Building's 86th floor observatory. For $18 and only 15 minutes of wait time, I got this view looking northeast.

I like this, the haze is great I think. Just as long as we don't have to breathe it (cough!). Looks like something out of a video game. Nice shot.
