Hi Jon, I use the US Naval Observatory site for moon stuff. If I am lucky the moon will rise into the shot, but that doesn't happen to often for me. I'll have a look at your site of choice. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers,

Rich

Ehi Rich... dove è l'arte? Nella scultura oppure nella luna? ;)

Hi Rich... Where is the art? In sculpture or in the moon? ;)

Greetings Noe, The art is in the combination of the moon and the sculpture. I don't think it is possible to get this shot in real life, but the moon shot fit the sculpture's sky perfectly. Fantasy.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Ioannis, Thanks for visiting the Blue Moon over Rushmore and commenting. The sculpture is nice by itself, but the moon makes it more interesting.

Greetings Regina, Sorry to have fooled you. Just part of the Blue Moon Project. If it is any consolation it is a real picture of the moon I took at a different time.... ;-))

Greetings Siro, Thank you for the visits and the comments. I am glad you like my type of photograph. When I see an opportunity to combine a beautiful sky with a moon shot, I try to put them together in a pleasing and believable way. Thanks again.

Greetings Daniel and Wald-Traut, Thanks for visiting and commenting on the Blue Moon Project. A very common photograph by millions of visitors to Mt. Rushmore. Adding a Blue Moon does make it a bit different. Glad you all like it.
