Thanks Randy! It really is a cool place in late summer. In spring you'd be washed away due to the amount of water coming off of the waterfall. In late summer it makes a nice swimming hole as long as you don't mind CHILLY water but it felt great on a 90 degree day!

Cheers,

Is it at the top of the waterfall, how do I get there?

InstinctImages on June 6

elias38 this is at the bottom of Lower Yosemite Falls. To get there you have to scramble over the large rocks starting at the viewpoint at the end of the trail. You can only do it in summer when the waterfall is almost dry otherwise you would be washed away by the water. If you go be careful the rocks can be slippery!

InstinctImages: thanks for a response. Unfortunately I went there before I read your post. I ended up crawling up for 5 minutes off the wooded bridge where everyone stops to take a picture. Is it somewhere there, do I need to go somewhere further pass the bridge?
