This is one of my all time favourite views of Whitby John, and this one is quite exceptional. The inclusion of the two photographers adds gravitas.

Very nice ;>)

Ah, this brings back memories John as I have taken pictures through this arch myself. I don't think any of mine were as good as this though (only on paper photographs). Like, well done, Herb

Hello Jim, DJ and tu-quoque, thank you all for visiting and your kind comments. You have a really lovely town Jim, I would like to spend longer there sometime as I'm sure we only glimpsed the surface.

Greetings to you all, John

Hi Herb and ah-pong, many thanks for your kind comments and the Like's

John i think you have captured the spot perfectly by being discrete and including the two in the front, not Jim in disguise. framing is perfect. get a like from me steve

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on September 16, 2010

Well steve..John managed to find all the viewpoints on his own..Fortunately, one cannot get lost in Whitby..The very nature of the hinterland ensures that the only way back is down..and once you are at sea level, the rest is easy ;>)

Cheers Steve and John ;>)

Hi again steve, thanks for your appreciation of this and the like. I was a bit lucky when these two turned up to take photos right from where I was.

Cheers, _John

Hello again Jim, thanks for your visit and nice comments. It is not entirely true that I found all of the viewpoints alone. I have a few shots form our enjoyable walk with you on the last day that Amanda and I were there that I will post later.

Cheers, John

L. Well done, John and what a joy it must have been to share with Jim for a while, and show off your beautiful daughters as well!

Like the images such as this and those Mists of Whitby.

Then its back to the Sumbawa chopper! What a world.

Hi Ian, thanks for your visit and kind words and of course the L.

We did indeed enjoy our time with Jim in Whitby, it is a lovely town and sometime I would like to go and spend a bit more time only don't tell Jim.

Best wishes to you, John
