One for Si

We seem to be roaming the same area photographing the same things - telephone boxes and road signs!!!

Geez, another one of those places that you have to zoom out so far to get any idea where in the bleedin' British Isles it is!

Tremendous similarities to Si's Castleton

Now that's a great town sign...much nicer than these cheap metal ones! Is it a real mill wheel? Very nice capture! Cheers, pear

Yes pear its a real wheel. Imagine it as a sort of recycling in the olden days. There were many of these worn out wheels in the countryside so they were re-used as road signs. You would often see them at the entrance to a farm drive displaying the farm name.

Jethro I have the same problem zooming but at least it is possible. With Hawnby you need to zoom in - you will realize it is only a small hamlet made up of a couple of farms!

Si I have just realized my last three photos are of signs - I feel another tag coming on!
