Richard: Do you have any old pictures of what this place used to look like in it's day? I bet it was so fantastic. It looks like a lot has been torn down over to the side there. How very sad. Do you know any history on the place? It's all just intriguing to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my photographic journey to Crystal mill through your eyes. :) Thank you,

Mary Alice

Greetings Mary Alice, Thanks for visiting and your interest in the mill. If you search Crystal Mill you will find a great starting point for learning about the place. If I recall, the mill is incorrectly called the Crystal Mill. Your adventure will be to find all the various names the mill has been called by over the years. It was a power plant for compressed air during the silver boom. The town of crystal sprung up and is still there. If you Google Earth and zoom in you can still see the town and its buildings, well preserved. I don't have any old pictures, but I suspect if you zero in on the mine and the owners who originally built the mill you will be able to find some neat pictures and additional information. I wonder if they had a narrow gauge train in there. It wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Cheers,

Rich
