I am impressed with the shadow detail on this great view Stephen. My Kodak couldn't manage this without a lot of post processing.

Hi Keith, I used a thing called icontrast on the Canon and it helps fill in very contrasty situations like this. I aim the camera at St.Mary's and locked on to the settings the moved to the darker cliffs for position took the shot and the camera helped with the rest, not perfect but it certainly helps fill in were the cliffs would have been totally black. By the way if your thinking about a Pentax I have 3 old stile Pentax lenses that might be worth at least trying on a new stile body to see what might work.

Hi Stephen. It will probably be sometime next year before I make my final choice and a lot can change by then.

So how is the healing process going Keith? are you starting to get any flexibility back and is the pain starting to fade. I hope your recovery goes well and you get back in the saddle asap. Wishing you well Stephen
