Hi Nick, Steve, and Mario,

Thank you all very much for visiting Thomas, and for you 'likes' and 'stars'. Sorry for late response, I've been 'otherwise occupied' this weekend. I must admit that there were three consecutive runs with these mailbags, so I had three goes to time it right, and luckily one got it.

Best Wishes Peter

Hi Tone and Gezginruh,
Thank you both for visiting, and the 'likes'. While it might not be a purist steam loco picture, Thomas is part of our culture, and the mail coaches are genuine.

Best wishes Peter

I love Thomas the Tank Engine. that was the first book i read over and over again and my brother had the mail coach on hornby train set. It even automatically picked the mail off the side like in your photo:)))

Hello Peter I love Thomas! I raised two boys, but Thomas came along after they had grown beyond that age. But thomas has been one of my favorite little boy "cakes" to do...have the train pan! I love this shot, and yes you timed this one perfectly. A Like for me and into my Fav's to keep Steve Drury's Thomas train company :)

best of wishes/Sarah

Hi! guys ;>)

I feel that now is the right time to come out..I feel no shame in admitting my love for Thomas ;>)

I hope you are able to forgive my transgression and that we can continue as before ;>))

Hi Tone, Sarah, and Jim,

Thanks very much for you likes and stars. Sorry for delay in reply, I've been away. Jim, congratulations in your NPC result. Brilliant work. Tone, I too have the Hornby (it was Triang in those days) mailcoach, and it still works, even though it is getting on for 50 years old. Sarah, I know how wonderful your cakes are, and I'm sure that Thomas will keep coming back year in and year out in your family, so you can keep cooking for a long time to come!

Best wishes to all Peter

This one is really fun! Well done, David

Peter_private_box on December 3, 2010

Hi David

Thanks much for your visit, and nice words!

This is the original Thomas, as named by the author of the books, and while Thomas is one of our childrens favourites, the mailcoaches are a serious part of our history.

Best Wishes Peter
