Thank You very much, GP-ZG! These are the slopes of the highest peak of the Appennines: Il Gran Sasso D'Italia (about 2900 metres). It is between L'Aquila and Teramo on the Highway (under the mountain there is a long Gallery) Rome-Teramo.
