many thanks for liking dear Wolf, and I know what you're refering to, it happened often :)) but these windows were little, no dnger to fall out, especially that the speed you could reach was rather reasonable ;) amitiés de France, pom'

Oh yes, it wasn't the king of horsepower ;) (and had a twin-cylinder engine, as far as I remember). But at that time I was still 17, wistful waiting for the driver license. A 2CV seemed to be a big piece of liberty and autonomy. (After all, my first one was a little Ford .)

Best regards and good night!

Hello Wolf, I appreciated your comments about the french Ente. In my youth I never considered the 2CV as a real car because it was impossible to have a sporty driving with its chassis. Nevertheless it has been a social phenomenon in pot-war France.

Notice its particular flat two cylinders low swept volume air cooled engine: also a french speciality in these years (along with the Panhard).

Best wishes to you and Pom'. Bernard

Hello, Bernard. I agree with you: sporty isn't a proper attribute for the 2CV ;)

While browsing through several classic car offers last week, I was very surprised about the actual prices: there were some for more than 12.000 €. Each of them.

btw: thanks for your detailed information, I'm always impressed by your profound knowledge. (If this is not job-related, cars must be your big passion :) )

Best wishes - Wolf-im-Schafspelz

Thanks Wolf. Do you like the classic cars I could contemplate last sunday in Frankfurt?

Best wishes. Bernard
