Hi Dougie Are you the Dougie Macgregor the photographer ? i am sorry for any confusion i might have the name mixed up, my name is andy bell i have been working on writing a book, a funny reflective journey about a wee boy growing up in Temple, Glasgow 1960/70si'm looking at self -publishing my book early next year, it was never a commercial venture more personal goal to capture the experience, i have been looking into front cover ideas and came across a picture via google earth of the forth and clyde canal at temple, listed as (Scotland, canal, temple,Glasgow,Reflection, 100, August ref: 110656) and google id (4111389) i would like to use it as a black / white pic on the design of the front cover, the canal is a place in temple with great memories and adventure for me and mentioned in the book....if this is your photo..can i have permission to use it use it, i have no money to pay for it, but i will send you a signed copy of the book, sorry if it sounds slightly cheeky, but i'm trying to raise the funds to self- publish and have never written more than a letter in my life. thanks andy bell
My family have lived in this area for five generations and I still stay within a mile of this photo. I am interested in both family and local history and so would be delighted to have a signed copy of your book.
If you want to use my photo, converting it to black and white, I would only ask for a proper acknowledgement and a restatement of my rights as photographer. I will write to you with further details about how best to do this.
p.s. If your book becomes a best seller you might think of buying me a new camera out of the profits.
