HI Jethro

Along the path, on the right, there seems to be some sort of nest box?

Regards Peter

You are right Peter this is a nature preserve and that means (I guess) they must position tires, filled with concrete and a pole and a bird box along the way. I saw no birds however.

What were you thinking.........?

Jethro

Hi Jethro

I was thinking that a nest box would be a bit exposed to predators in that position.

Snakes in particular Peter

If I see anyone who looks like they may know, next time I am there I shall pose your entirely reasonable theory. The grasses and flowers around and about were as much as 5 ft tall (I know this as she who must be obeyed who is in this picture tagging along behind, is only just visible above the wave tops of flowers).
