What a happy view Jim is it your house?? like Peter
Yes, indeed Peter! Picturesque, rather humble, and in need of some repair! But nevertheless a great home and garden for me and beamish girl - Jim
Nice dusk shot Jim hopefully not a handheld at 1/4 second, but if you did I applaud you!
Your cottage looks most warm and cozy!
Best wishes to you both from Jethro in North Carolina
Nice to have you "drop by"" Jethro. My camera was set on IA (intelligent auto - which I have to admit to using much of the time, since it usually gives the best results for point and shoot shots!) so there was compensation for the lack of light by the ISO being increased, but even so the shutter speed was probably down to about 1/10 second, so only just manageable even with "anti-shake" technology.
Yes, I was aware of the "cosy" effect caused by the lights on in the cottage, but if I had "set it up", I might have put the light on by the other (dark) window, which may or may not have made a better shot!
Best wishes to all of you in North Carolina - bb-Jim
What else can a man need? So relaxing :-) nik
Glad you think so nik. It is most of the time, until I have to mow all the grass, or do work on the cottage! It Is like living in a picture postcard house and garden, which I appreciate very much, but the reality of day to day living is still tough at times! - Jim
I know what you mean Jim. I hope I could have more time for the garden, albeit I feel good when I have the time to do it. :-) nik
I agree with you nik, it's great to have the feeling of "A job well done!". It's just a shame that, because gardens keep growing, it doesn't stay done! Best wishes - Jim
The 5 first pictures on my page at PANORAMIO are for contest.
Greetings from Brazil.
Thanks very much Paulo for your visit, comment, and like.
Greetings from beamish boy - IRELAND
Mentioning the "Extra information" Jethro reminds me that I've only just discovered this feature since most of my previous photos were from a non-digital camera, and yes, you were right, this photo was taken at only 1/4 second! Either a good advert for the cameras 'anti-shake' technology or my steady hands, A bit of both, I guess! - Jim
You're very lucky !
And here is the little cottage GGR with it's welcoming cosy-looking lights on! I Guess we are pretty lucky. Jim
own place on earth - very nice
Wow! You're here again Teresa. Thanks for your regular visits. If I take your meaning correctly, I agree, that to have a house and a bit of land of your own, despite how poor you are (money-wise), you are still rich in spirit! - bb
