Raf, are you related to Margret Ollivierre?

I'm not sure who Margret is. But if she has roots in Bequia, which I suspect, we would be related.

Margret Ollivierre is my Great Grandmother buried next to her Husband, John Eyre King, somewhere in the Padget farm area.

My Family tree shows Margaret Adams as the wife of John Eyre King. Her mother was Mary Frances Ottley whose parents were William Ottley and Frances Ollivierre, the sister of my great great grandfather Joseph Ollivierre.

i understand that my family name is prominent on the island and that we are related to the Ollivierres. Can someone comment?

Hi Keith, The Hazells are certainly one of the well known Bequia families. My Grandmother was a Hazell so there is a strong possibility that you and I are related. I may be able to make a connection if you let me know who your parents and grandparents were and anything else you know about their connection to Bequia.

This is a long shot but I am looking for some family history for my mother who was born in Bequia but now lives in England due to health reasons.

Her name is Nola Corae daughter of Eileen Ollivierre and Christian Corea who were married in Lapompe.

She is looking for history about her grandfather Manuel Fletcher Corea who we believe was from Portugal.

Raf, i do believe we are cousins.

Any help would be appriciated.

Hi Andrew, We are certainly related. Your mother, Nola and I are second cousins. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about the Corea ancestry going back before Christian Corea. If I find out anything in the future I will let you know. Kind regards to your mother and grandmother.

Manuel Fletcher Corea was born in Portugal in 1890, when he came to Bequia I can't say, he had an estate at Sans Souci in St. Vincent. His son Christian Corea (who I understood drowned at sea) was married to Eileen Ollivierre, their children were Harold, Selwyn, Gracie, Nola, Emmanuel (Son) Kemrick, winifred.
