Hey, someone posted a pic of the "Bat tower" as the locals call this. Formally named "Alvord's tower" (maybe Alford's tower"). For the past few decades this island has been a camp for the deaf. The tower was build long ago for Alford's wife to enjoy the view of the lake.
I "went swimming" in this lake the day before I was born. We lived in Taconic at the time (zoom out one step on the map).
