Hi Draken, Yes, it is because Panoramio doesn't modify the original image when you upload (and we should not). The original version is in sideways, and the metadata of the image (EXIF) has orientation information that the image should be rotated 90 degrees CW when displayed. Panoramio uses this information when we create the smaller versions of the images, so it looks good on the site. If you download the original "sideways" version and look at it in some decent photo viewer on you PC, it will show that correctly. It is a pity that desktop webbrowsers tend to ignore the orientation information in the images.

Thank you Gyuri for the explanation. I see then it is the browsers' fault (FF, Safari, Google Chrome?) that ignore the orientation information.
