Yes this is real. I have not created it in Photoshop. Those are real rays of sunlight, real trees and not created by smoke. The photo is cropped for best effect but my next shot reveals more!

Thanks Jim I have always liked photographs with the suns rays beaming through the trees but have never been able to capture it. This happened quite by accident so even though it is a bit synthetic I am happy!
